Weekend chores all done between 6:30 and 8:00 AM.
All the socks matched up in pairs when putting away laundry.
Going back to sleep for a couple hours after chores were completed.
Making dinner plans for First Bite Boulder later this week.
Getting on the elliptical a day after needing a shot of Toradol at urgent care.


A kind and understanding doctor at urgent care.
Feeling validated on years of pain over a likely ovarian cyst when no one else would listen / believe.
Better enough to get some chores done this evening.
The sense of community over World Diabetes Day.
Snow falling peacefully on a weekend, unlikely to create problems for Monday’s commute.


Thank goodness it’s Friday.
No caffeine withdrawal headache as I eliminated it to help my tummy settle.
Feeling somewhat better today, hoping tomorrow will be even better.
Kahlua not escaping from the house as she greeted me right at the front door.
Catching up on DVR’ed shows.


Half day of work.
Taking time to do some (non-day job) work in my home office, instead of down in front of the television.
Quality nap time after a cruddy night’s sleep.
Tummy comfort food.
Football one more night a week thanks to a better digital cable package with NFL Network.

Bank holiday, so no 10 AM deadline at work.
Fraud busting.  (I work for a company that does much of its business online.)
Reading instead of sleeping on the bus.
Upbeat workout tonight, featuring such songs as “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and “YMCA”.
Cats trying to outsmart the hardwood floors.

Being part of such a wonderful blogging community, in spite of our subject matter being diabetes in all its forms.
Leaving my co-workers wondering why I was so dressed up today.
Knowing the reason was just to put myself in a decent mood.
Someone to talk to while waiting for the bus in the evenings.
