This isn’t my idea.  This isn’t an original idea.  But when Hotfessional did it last month for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I knew I had to do it in November.

November is American Diabetes Month.  And I’m asking you to help me help others.

For every comment I receive between the dates of November 1 and 30, I will donate a quarter to iPump.org, up to $200.  This small non-profit “provides assistance to children in need of an insulin pump and diabetes care supplies”.   The adult programs are currently suspended due to lack of funding, unfortunately.  This organization needs help to continue their mission.

For every page view I receive on November 14 (as determined by WordPress), I will donate a quarter to Taking Control of Your Diabetes (TCOYD), up to $100.   November 14 is World Diabetes Day, an effort from the International Diabetes Federation.  TCOYD educates and motivates “people with diabetes so that they may live better lives now”.

I hope you don’t mind me becoming a stats and comments whore for the month of November.  (Pardon my language, of course.)
