Days of Grace 22-23/365
14Oct09
- Meeting Scott and Amy for the first time in person after years of communicating online.
- Getting to know them past what you see on their blogs.
- Meeting other interesting people who work for and with the American Heart Association for their program “Heart of Diabetes“, a program to remind and educate people with type 2 diabetes about their risk of heart disease.
- Visiting Texas for the first time, other than a couple stops at DFW.
- Surviving the cab ride from Love Field to the hotel.
- Being offered a warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival at the hotel, even though, you know, I have type 2 diabetes. Because, you know, I hadn’t eaten since 10 am Mountain Time and it was almost 4 pm central time. And that scary cab ride…
- Talking in hotel lobbies. (A lot of that these days…)
- Grateful to Amy for putting my name out there for this cause that means a lot to me and my family.
- Not having to go to work for two days and grateful for them allowing me the time off to participate in something like this.
- Excited over another d-blogger pal’s pregnancy announcement. :)

You didn’t happen to stay at the Hotel Lawrence did you? :) It was the cookie thing that drove me to ask :)
No. Doubletree Hotel – Campbell Centre
Thanks Rachel, it was very awesome to finally meet you in person too!
:) Remember, next time we’re out in WI, we’ll make a stop in the MSP area.
