Washing the Newsprint off.
I’m somewhat ashamed to admit it. I haven’t subscribed to a newspaper in my adult life, except for a brief trial with the Boulder Daily Camera.
Newspapers were a part of my everyday life from a young age, thanks to my mother’s thirst for reading and politics. I read first for the comics, then [...]

Denver Restaurant Week, Part 2.
This evening found us at O’s Steak and Seafood, just a couple miles from our home. While O’s is housed in a hotel, this is not your standard hotel fare.
To start, Greg chose the crab cake with avocado relish and sriracha caviar while I decided upon the apple-tarragon puree with bacon-wrapped mushrooms. He was [...]

Denver Restaurant Week, Part 1.
Denver Restaurant Week runs from February 21 – March 6, with over 200 restaurants in the area offering meals for $52.80 for 2 people. Onions, carrots, celery, garlic, thyme, bay leaves, peppercorns, water, and tomato paste yielded 56 ounces of vegetable stock. Rachel’s stock will be used for flavoring couscous and lentils. [...]

The letter B.
George posted this letter meme, listing ten things he likes starting with a randomly chosen letter from the person who did the meme before him. I requested a letter from him afterwards, and it was the letter B.
Here we go…
Boulder – It may be 25 square miles surrounded by reality, but I love the [...]
