Trade-offs.

“‘…Look at yourself, my dear.  You look ill; you are ill.  I’m told you’ve been spending your weekends in bed.’   I could not deny it.  Gone were the days when I had partied in North London after a school day.  Now I would crawl home on Friday evening and fall into bed, exhausted by the [...]

Diet soda consumption resumed with the contract last week. I need to remember to bring green tea to work tomorrow.
Last endo appointment was in September. I didn’t think he’d let me go six months between appointments now that I’m on the metformin, but he did. Meanwhile, my test strips and thyroid meds [...]

(Let’s face it, I have no time during the week for posting while I’m working…so you’ll just have to wait until the weekend to be blessed with my blogging.)
I got this idea from Aimee at Greeblemonkey, who has managed to become a finalist over at the 2008 Bloggies for Best Kept Secret Weblog.
5 Things I [...]

Quick updates.

Yeah.  The guy behind me was THAT annoying.

I woke up at 3:30 AM thanks to a feline alarm clock.  That’s OK, I can do some writing and get some elliptical love before heading into work.
Ah yes, work.  I’ve accepted a short-term contract at my previous place of employment to develop even better documentation and training for my old position.  Long story short, [...]

Frustration.

Nothing seems to be working. Or rather, I find something that works and then everything changes.
Eliminate diet soda, and find a greatly reduced appetite alongside two weeks of excellent blood sugar readings.
Then female hormones kick in and I have two weeks of comparatively atrocious post-prandial readings, despite hard exercise five times a week + [...]

Inspired by Kerri, here are some of the latest searches that have led people to TomT:
“metformin doesn’t work?” (It does for me.)
“artificial sweetener tendonitis” (Wow. Conspiracy theorists of the world unite!)
“cotton mouth taste blood” (Maybe someone just had a dental procedure?)
“naked tales” (I knew I set myself up for that [...]

An inquiring mind wants to know…

…where’s my fresh water?  …why there’s not enough food in the feeder?  …where’s my clean litter box?
(Yes, Kahlua lets us know when things are not quite right in her world.)
